Data Entry at the end of a Production process

Background

Data entry has two aspects:-

  1. When a production process for a job order completes, data entry is required to record the numbers of goods successfully decorated within the actual system.
  2. When the last process line on a job order is completed, the finalised quantities of the product produced (e.g printed garments) gets recorded

Data Entry is thus an essential activity.

About this task

This topic will instruct you how to undertake Data Entry in strokeone, both when a process finished, and when the final process finishes..

Prerequisites

  1. Ensure that you have opened the process layout for the job order, for which you wish to record data entry.
  2. Ensure that you identify whether the process that has finished is the last process on the job order or not.
    1. If it is not the final finished process (i.e. there are processes still incomplete) - following Procedure A
    2. If it is the final finished process (i.e all production processes are complete - follow procedure B

Procedures

Procedure A: Recording the Numbers successfully processed by the process Line

  1. Click the Data button for the process line you have just marked as finished.

  2. The data entry form is displayed.

(Note: In the below sections/text, the numbers in (bold parenthesis) refer to the annotations in the above screen-shot)

Take a moment to familiarise yourself with the form.

  1. For the process you have just marked as finished, record in the top section (1), the quantities successfully produced and any scrap.

  2. Next, determine whether you are the final completed process line on the job.

You can determine you are the final completed process line by two factors -

  1. If you are not the final completed process, close the form by clicking Close

  2. If you are the final completed process then must record the final physical produced output for the whole job by proceeding to Procedure B

Procedure B: Recording the Physical Numbers of Item Produced

As you are the final process line to complete,.you must record the final amount of the product that was successfully physically produced.
This is the physical quantity of the product that gets booked into printed stock, get used for invoicing and fulfilment so it is an essential process both in terms of completion and accuracy of recording.

It is important to understand that the quantity of printed SKU's produced is not always the same as the number successfully produced for a process line.
(For example, you may have a job order that was for 100 prints on the front and 100 on the back. The front may successfully print 100, whereas the back might only successfully print 95.
The maximum that can therefore be recorded in the Printed SKU section (2) therefore can be 95)

  1. Bearing this is mind, enter in the Printed SKU section (2) the final quantities of physical products Produced and any Scrap

  1. Check your input back to your Garment Sheet and to the physical items.
It is imperative that you check these as once you commit the record it is "closed down" and cannot be changed or edited.
  2. Only. once you are satisfied you have recorded complete and accurate quantities click the Finished button
