Custom Tool Bar

Overview

The Custom Tool Bar is formed of a number of scripted buttons, and is displayed at the top of the majority of layouts within strokeone.

It functions as an aid to locate specific records within data sets

 

Specifically, the buttons in the custom tool bar have the following functionality :-

Button Label

Function

Excel

Clicking this will invoke strokeone to save the current data-set as a Microsoft Excel file

You will be prompted to provide a name and location for the file to be saved, as well as options as to whether to save all the records shown on screen or to limit to a selected record.

PDF

Functions identically to the Excel button, with the exception that the saved file will be in Portable Document Format.

Print

Will print the current found set

 

Snapshot

Will allow you to save the records as a FileMaker snapshot link file. When you click this button you will be further prompted as to the location where you want to save the snapshot link file to, and whether to include all the records being browsed, or just the current selected on.

 

Find

Will invoke Find mode in the current layout.

Modify last find

Will enter Find mode, but retain the criteria last used when Find was invoked on  the current layout.

Sort

Click this to invoke the FileMaker standard sort records dialog allowing you to define the sort criteria to apply to displayed records

Form / List

This button will toggle between List and Form depending on the layout that you are currently on:-

  • If you are in a list layout, the button will state Form, and clicking it will navigate you to the detailed form for the record you have selected within the list.

  • Conversely, when you are in a detailed form for a record, the button will state List, and clicking it will navigate you to the corresponding list layout

 

First

Will select the first record in the displayed data set.

Back

Will select previous record in the displayed data set.
Note: should the current record selected already be the first record, clicking this button will not cycle back to the last record.

Next

Will select next record in the displayed data set.
Note: should the current record selected be the last record, clicking this button will not cycle forward to the first record..

Last

Will select the last record in the displayed data set.
