Marking a Maintenance Record as Started

About this task

This topic will instruct you how to update a Maintenance Task record as started.

Prerequisites

Ensure that:-

• You have opened the Maintenance List Layout.

Procedure

1. Locate the maintenance record that you wish to update in the layout.
   
2. Click the Start button besides the record identified in step 1)
   
   
3. When you click Start, the following updates occur:-
   1. Status updated to In Progress (Amber)
   2. Start Time is set with now()
      
   3. The Start button is disabled.
   4. A new entry is inserted into the KPI tab. recording the time the task started, and the user whom initiated it
