How to Edit a Company Record

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have opened the company list view  

Procedure

 

  1. Locate the company that you wish to edit details for.
  2. Click to select /activate the company identified in step 1)

    (Note: for this topic certain field values have been deliberately obscured in the screen-shots)




  1. Make your required edits. Use the following outline of the fields as a guide to what can be edited

Preference Toggle Buttons

  • Do Not Call: whether a company should be contacted.

  • Newsletter:  whether they should receive a mailshot newsletter.

  • On Hold Status. This toggle button denotes whether a company is on hold (Red) on watch (Amber)

    • When set as on watch, the company name will appear in amber bold in various layouts throughout strokeone indicating to staff that additional checks should be taken before undertaking additional job orders, or despatching fulfilments.

    • When set as on hold, the company name will appear in red bold in various layouts throughout strokeone indicating to staff that additional checks should be taken before undertaking additional job orders, or despatching fulfilments.

  • Storage: This field can be set to denote that the Company should be received a bill for the costs associated with storing their stock.

Creation date

The Date the record was added

Company

Enter the name of the Company that you are creating the record for.

Last Order Date

These fields are not user editable

Last Order Spend

Last Contact Date

Status

Indicates the status of the company. The following are the current valid statuses
Current

Dead

 

Type

Checkboxes to indicate company's business relationship with Strokeone Software Limited


Customer

Supplier

Prospect

Note that a company can have >1 Type.

Email

Email address for the company

Switchboard

Swtichboard telephone number for the company.


Note Should you need to edit any field that not shown on this company list view screen, you will need to drill down to see the detailed company record.
