Marking a Screen-Set As reclaimed

Background

This is all TBC, as the navigation manner is likely to change as any scripted buttons to perform the reclaim - the maths / updates in step 4) should remain though

Once a screen-set can has been flagged for reclaim, the next processes to occur are to physically draw down the flagged screen set and reclaim the member screens.

Once reclaimed, in accounting terms within strokeone, the screens are removed from the general in use pool (that is, they are no longer associated to any job orders) and considered as newly added blank screens that are available to coat with photo-sensitive emulsion.

It is crucial that the reclaim process is recorded in order for efficient inventory management of screens within strokeone, so that the Screens Control List provides the most accurate and timely information to the screen room manager.

About this task

This topic will instruct you how to navigate to, and update records in the Stencils Required layout to mark them as reclaimed.

Note:

  1. This topic does not instruct how you physically reclaim a stencil set - that is a physical process external to strokeone.

Prerequisites

Ensure that:you have opened the Stencils Required  layout within strokeone.

Procedure

  1. Locate the screen-set records that you wish to mark as reclaimed.
Tip: as these screen-sets should already have been flagged for reclaim, you may want to use the following criteria in a Find query :-.

    Flagged for Reclaim: Complete (green)
Bug: This doesn't work currently (in that you can't select the boolean in a search)  - there may be an alternate screen / navigation method created **

  1. Open the screen-set detail record identified in step 1)
  2. From within the screen-set detail record, click the Reclaim button
  3. The following updates occur:-
    1. The number of individual screens on the screen-set record is counted.
    2. The individual screens on the screen-set are grouped by SKU / Screen Type, and a count is kept of the quantity in each grouped SKU / Screen Type..
    3. The status for each individual screen in the screen-set is reset to Not Made (red)
    4. The status for the screen-set is reset to Not Made (red)
    5. The number of spaces in the storage location is credited by the number of screens recorded in step 4a)
    6. The Location field on the screen-set record is blanked out.
    7. In the screens control list, the following accounting entries are made :-
      1.  The flagged for reclaim totals are debited by the corresponding SKU / Screen Type group count from step 4b)
      2. The in use totals are also debited by the corresponding SKU / Screen Type group count from step 4b)
      3. The available to coat totals are credited by their corresponding SKU group count from step 4b)
