Picking Stock For a Job

TBC: The below is WIP  - The picking list layout is not created yet**

Background

Once blank stock items have been allocated to a production job, they need to be physically picked and provided to the required production area which will then decorate them.

TOT Shirts Limited utilises random stock location, so the blank stock items may be in numerous physical locations.

As part of the picking process, strokeone will indicate where the physical stock is located.

    2. The garment sheet on the job order.
    3. The blank stock line item's SKU and description.
    4. The pick status for the SKU
    5. The physical location(s) the blank stock line item is stored in.
    6. The available quantity of each SKU per the physical location(s)
    7. The quantites of each SKU required (To be Given), allocated, already picked

      (
The following steps are outside the remit of the system but included here for completeness)
  4. Using the information in the pick stock layout, visit the physical locations listed where the blank products are stored and pick the required quantities.

The quantity picked from each location needs to be recorded in the application.
  5. There are two methods by which you can record the quantity picked from a location
    1. You can click the Pick button beside a single product row for a location.
This will cause a Picking dialog box to display.

In the Quantity field, enter the number of items that were picked from that location, and click OK
      The following happens:-
      1. Picked Quantity is incremented with the Quantity entered in the dialog.
      2. Available Quantity for the Location is decremented by Quantity entered in the dialog.
      3. The Picked status for the SKU will update as follows:-
        • In Progress (Amber) if picked quantity < To be Given
        • Completed (green) if picked quantity = To Be Given
    2. You can click the Pick All button beside a single product row for a location.
This will pick the minimum of what ever is available in the location or the Amount needed to be picked, i.e.
      1. Set "amount needed to be Picked" from calculating (To be Given minus Picked)

      2. Set "amount that can be picked from location" by calculating {min (Location balance, amount needed to be Picked)}
      3. Picked Quantity is incremented with the amount that can be picked from location.
      4. Quantity for the Location is decremented by amount that can be picked from location.
      5. The Picked status for the SKU  will update as follows:-
        • In Progress (Amber) if picked quantity < To be Given
        • Completed (green) if picked quantity = To Be Given
  6. Repeat step 5) until you have recorded all the picking you have done for the job order selected in step 1)
Note: If picking for the job is now complete,( i.e. for each of the SKU's on the job order, Picked Quantity = To Be Given),
then the aggregate pick status icon is updated to Completed (green)

  7. Place the picked items in a picked stock location. (This is not a system process but recorded here for completeness)
  8. Record, the location where the picked items have been placed.
    1. Click the Picked Stock Location button at the top of the form

    2. In the Picked stock location pop-up form that is shown, click on the New record icon.

    3. This invokes the location picker dialog, where you need to record the location where you have placed the picked items.
Click the drop-down on the end filter and select Stock Ready For Process
In the location records that are displayed. click the Select button besides the location where you placed the picked items

(See Printing Job Labels for examples)

This should be affixed to the box(es) of picked products that were placed in the selected location
  9. Should any location entries in the pick stock layout now have a zero balance, they can be optionally deleted for maintenance purposes.
  10. To close the form, click the Navigation button in the top left, and either select a layout from the drop-down (1) or press the Home button (2) and be navigated accordingly.
