Invoicing Process

The Invoicing process typically consists of the following tasks :-

• Raising an invoice against the job order

• Populating the headers on the raised invoice

• Populating the invoice content with charges

• Marking the invoice as Ready

• Sending the invoice, either by

• • printing and physically mailing a hard copy to the client.

  • emailing an electronic copy to the client.

• Marking the invoice as Sent.

• Recording payments received from the customer on the invoice

Note: The above list represents a suggested workflow of the tasks and sequencing involved when processing a fulfilment. The specifics of how, and when you elect to process fulfilments in your production environment, and the order you undertake tasks will vary depending on your working practices, circumstances and the variables involved in the fulfilment. As such the above list should be read as an indicative rather than prescriptive checklist.
